Aline Setton

Aline Setton develops works characterized by labyrinthine compositions, distortion effects and dialogues between body and space. Her studies in architecture and experiences in different countries serve as the basis for her research.

She has participated in artistic residencies, including Fonte in Brazil (2022) and Córtex Frontal in Portugal (2018). Her works have been presented in the solo exhibitions Interiors, at Galeria Murilo Castro, São Paulo, Brazil, and Lupa, at Ap’Arte, Porto, Portugal (2019) and in group exhibitions, including: Mar, Rio, Fonte, Galeria Karla Osório, Brazil (2023); Tropi – X – Brazilian Artin Canada from the 70’s to the present, Canada (2023); 4th Gaia International Art Biennial, Portugal (2021); Making Spaces, Sur Gallery, Canada (2020). In 2022, she created the installation Plan View: A look into the eye of a building for Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto City Hall, Canada. Her work is part of the collection of Museu Nacional de Belas Artes, RJ, Brazil.
