Heartbreak Motel

Amelia Valentine's work delves into the aesthetic realm where the accidental meets the intentional. She believes that spills, splatters, and strokes can create outcomes just as compelling and pleasing as deliberate mark-making. The element of the accidental has always been central to Amelia's work. When working with resin and contemplating the vastness and grandeur of the universe, her creations are a collaboration between her and the invisible hand of chemistry. The nebula-like pieces she produces are the result of this partnership, with half the work being intentional and the other half shaped by the chemical reactions between inks, resin, and paints within the artwork itself.
